Denim Deconstruction : Textile Revolution

DIVERTING DENIM FROM LANDFILL

It takes 7,600 litres of water to make one pair of jeans.  That's more than enough water for one person to drink 8 cups, every day, for 10 years!  Two billion pairs are made every year and 85% of these will eventually end up in landfill.  Mass production, fast fashion and wasteful consumerism has had devastating effects both socially and environmentally.

- WHAT WE DO NOT CHANGE, WE CHOOSE -

In a move to affect change, Te Kohu produces clothing made from discarded and donated denim.  We deconstruct and rework the fabric into quality staple garments to encourage originality, eco-wardrobe choices and conscious consumerism.
